This is Highland Park Fire Edition, a 15 year old single malt from Orkney, in a 70cl bottle at 45.2% ABV. The release was 28,000 bottles.
It was matured entirely in refill casks seasoned with Port wine, a first for Highland Park. Fire follows Ice Edition and completes a two-part series of special bottlings celebrating myths and legends from the Viking age. The whisky is natural in colour.
The nose is of ruby red fruits and warm vanilla, alongside cinnamon bark and dark chocolate.
