Highland Park Viking Heart is a 15 year old single malt from the Orkney Islands, bottled at 44% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky is matured in ex-sherry casks made from both European and American oak.
The nose is led by smoke and peat with a light sweetness, followed by fruit and spice. On the palate it opens sweet and fruity, with vanilla, honey and dried fruit, before the smoky, peaty notes come through, then spice and wood. The finish is long and spicy, with smoke still present alongside sherry and oak.
