Highland Park Viking Heart is a 15 year old single malt bottled at 44% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The casks were hand-selected by Highland Park whisky maker Gordon Motion.
The vatting contains a high proportion of first-fill European oak sherry seasoned casks, which bring a warm, dry spiciness. First-fill American oak sherry seasoned casks support them. The bottle is a heavily embossed ceramic one, made in partnership with Wade Ceramics of the UK.
The American oak casks are described as adding vanilla and crème brûlée notes.
