This is a 15 year old Highland Park single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 44% ABV. It comes in a ceramic bottle made with the British ceramics specialist Wade, produced sustainably, food safe and fully recyclable.
A high proportion of first-fill sherry casks, made from European and American oak, gives warm, spicy character with vanilla and crème brûlée. Lightly fruity notes from refill casks complement them.
The nose offers toasted cinnamon bark, crème brûlée and mild smoke. On the palate come heather peat, warm vanilla sponge, lemon, fresh pineapple and rich heather honey. The finish is rich and complex, with gentle aromatic peat smoke.
