This is the fourth release in Highland Park's cask strength series, bottled by the distillery at 64.3% in a 70cl bottle. It draws on bourbon, port and sherry casks.
Highland Park was founded in 1798 in Kirkwall on Orkney and is the northernmost distillery in Scotland. Orkney peat differs markedly from Islay peat, and heather sweetness is often cited as one of its basic flavours.
The water comes from a spring at a lower elevation, Cattie Maggie's Quarry.
