Highland Park – 16 Year Old Between You and I by Björn Frantzén

Between You and I is a 16 year old single malt from Highland Park, distilled at Kirkwall on Orkney, where the distillery was founded in 1798. It is the first Highland Park whisky led by virgin Swedish oak casks. The expression was created in collaboration with the chef Björn Frantzén, whose personal flavour associations shaped the concept and packaging. Virgin Swedish oak gives a nutty spiciness, ex-bourbon casks add sweetness and warmth, and sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks contribute vanilla and dried fruit. It is described as subtly smoky, with nutty spice, sweetness, vanilla and dried fruit.
