Highland Park 17 Year Old Ice Edition is a single malt from Kirkwall on the Isle of Orkney, bottled at 53.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is a special bottling of 30,000 bottles inspired by Norse mythology. The bottle is made of blue glass, shaped to evoke the sharpness and coolness of the Ice Realm, and it sits in a mountain-shaped oak cradle with a wooden stopper. The circular design stands for the circle of life, with the world protected by a serpent. The nose brings pineapple, mango sorbet, wisps of smoke and root ginger. The palate is powerful, with peat smoke, vanilla and orris root. The finish is creamy and oily, ending in long woodiness and dry spice.
