This is an 18 year old single malt from Highland Park, the distillery on Orkney. It is matured in European and American sherry casks.
The nose brings dried fruit, dark chocolate and spicy ginger. On the palate there is orange peel, sweet caramel and nuts, along with the heathery peat smoke associated with Highland Park. The finish is long and silky, leaving a gentle warmth and a hint of toasted oak.
