A 1989 Highland Park single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 51.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. Highland Park was founded in 1798 in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands and is the northernmost distillery in Scotland. The peat of Orkney differs considerably from that of Islay, and this gives the whisky its particular taste. A heather sweetness is one of its most frequently cited basic aromas. The distillery's water comes from a spring at Cattie Maggie's Quarry, which lies at a lower elevation.
