This Highland Park was distilled in 2003 and spent more than 20 years in sherry butt 4118. La Maison du Whisky chose the cask for its Artist series, and 438 bottles were filled in 2024 at 56.9%, at cask strength, without chill-filtering or added colour. Artist #14 belongs to the Rothes Glen collection, whose labels were designed by the Nigerian artist Victor Ekpuk. The whisky has a mature, oxidative fruit character with exotic and macerated fruit, and spicy, resinous and floral notes, while the texture stays fine and creamy. The nose is rich, with exotic fruit and balsamic vinegar, then salt, lime blossom, guava, beeswax and curry. The palate brings candied pineapple, walnut, mirabelle and grapefruit, then ripe banana, pine and cedar. The long finish shows meadow flowers, earth and gentian root, then lavender and heather honey.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
