This is a 17 year old Highland Park, distilled in 2008 and bottled by Murray McDavid in spring 2026 for its Benchmark series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 54.1%. The whisky matured in three American oak ex-bourbon casks, and 564 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Highland Park makes its malt in Kirkwall, Orkney, using heather-rich peat from Hobbister Moor. The nose offers sweet pear, stone fruit and vanilla. On the palate come candied apple and cedar with light smoke, followed by soft nutmeg, oily malt and floral peat in the finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
