A Highland Park from Orkney, distilled in May 1957 and bottled in April 1979 by Cadenhead, the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. It is 21 years old, bottled at 45.7% in a 75cl bottle of the old dumpy style. The nose is that of an older peated malt, sappy and resinous, with old syrups, medicinal notes, raisins and other dried fruit. On the palate, phenolic, leathery, fruity and waxy flavours come together, with peat still clearly present and a herbal note recalling chartreuse. The finish is long, clean and complex.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
