A 21 year old Highland Park single malt, bottled by the distillery itself at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in hogsheads. Highland Park was founded in 1798 in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands and is the northernmost distillery in Scotland. The peat of Orkney differs considerably from that of Islay, and a heather sweetness is one of the whisky's most frequently cited basic aromas. The water comes from a spring at Cattie Maggie's Quarry, which lies at a lower elevation.
