Highland Park 21 Years Old is a single malt from the Orkney Islands, matured for 21 years. The distillery uses local heather peat, and a significant share of sherry cask influence shapes the balance of smoke, rich fruit and honeyed sweetness.
The nose brings heather honey, sun-dried fruit, a little aromatic peat smoke, nutmeg and orange zest. The palate is full-bodied, with vanilla, dark chocolate and candied peel, alongside gentle smoke and a hint of salinity. The finish is very long and warming, mixing sweet and savoury notes.
