Highland Park – 25 Year Old 2023 Release

Highland Park 25 Year Old 2023 Release is a single malt from the Kirkwall distillery on Orkney, which has made whisky there since 1798. The distillery's lightly peated Orcadian heather malt underpins the style. Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion chose 22 casks for this release: ten first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads, two first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak hogsheads, four first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak butts, five refill hogsheads and one refill butt. The whisky has a natural deep copper colour. It is described as honeyed peaches, sweet satsumas, pistachio biscotti, coriander seed, oregano, crème brûlée, citrus zest and heathered peat smoke.
