Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 3 is a single malt bottled at cask strength, 64.1%, in a 70cl bottle. For this release the distillery used mainly American sherry casks of differing ages.
The nose is mostly toasted oak joined by smouldering peat, honey-glazed lemons and a subtle touch of aniseed. On the palate there is ripe, fruity mango, heather honey with a hint of violets, vanilla, a note of pink grapefruit and freshly baked sponge. The finish is long.
