The whisky was matured mainly in first-fill sherry-seasoned European and American casks, with a smaller share from refill casks. It is described as one of the more heavily smoked Highland Park bottlings.
The flavour is usually described as fresh, with pink grape and orange, then liquorice and warm spices.
