A single malt from Highland Park, bottled at cask strength of 64.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the fourth release in the Cask Strength series.
The whisky was matured mainly in first-fill sherry casks of European and American oak, with a small number of refill casks added for balance and depth. A higher share of peated malt gives it a smoky character.
The nose offers heather honey, toasted coconut, toffee, nutmeg, oak and rose water. Ripe tropical fruit, orange zest and grapefruit open the palate, with peat, vanilla, a little liquorice and earthy notes. The finish is long, with smoke, sweet oak and spice.
