Highland Park – Heather Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 63.6%)

A limited-edition Orkney single malt from Highland Park, bottled at its natural cask strength of 63.6%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The barley is smoked entirely with Orkney peat, which gives a heathery smokiness. The whisky was matured in first-fill European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks, together with some refill casks. The palate is rich and oily, with bonfire smoke, vanilla pods, brandy butter, marshmallow, macadamia nuts, peppery spice and floral smoke. The finish is long and warming, with lingering vanilla sweetness and perfumed smoke.
