Highland Park Leif Eriksson is a limited edition single malt from Orkney, named after the Norse explorer. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a mix of American oak sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks, and is gently peated. The result combines bright fruit, warming spice and a light touch of smoke.
In the tasting notes, the nose offers vanilla, fresh pineapple, heather honey and a little coastal smoke. The palate brings red apple, citrus peel, nutmeg and crème brûlée, and the finish is warming and gently smoky, with spiced orange and dried fruits.
