Highland Park Loyalty of the Wolf is a 14 year old Orkney single malt from the distillery's travel retail range, in a 1 litre bottle at 42.3% ABV. It is a tribute to the wolf and the Vikings.
The whisky matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned American oak, ex-bourbon and refill casks. Highland Park was founded in 1798 and is Scotland's northernmost distillery.
The nose offers orchard fruit, vanilla and salty toffee with gentle smoke. The palate is sweet and spicy, with baked apple and cinnamon butter, heather honey and toasted grain beside peat smoke. The finish is medium in length, fruity and sweet, with a quiet smoky warmth.
