This is an island single malt from Highland Park, released in 2010 as the second bottling in the Magnus Editions series. It is a limited edition. The series pays tribute to Magnus Erlendsson, the best known of the Viking Earls of Orkney. His remains were discovered in 1917 at St Magnus Cathedral, which is closely linked to his story. The release draws on Orkney's Norse heritage and reflects the Highland Park style of gentle peat smoke, honeyed sweetness and aromatic complexity.
