Highland Park – The Light

The Light is a Highland Park single malt from Orkney, released in a run of 28,000 bottles. It is the companion to The Dark, and the pair draw on the Viking history and contrasting island seasons of Orkney. This bottling celebrates spring and summer. It comes in an embossed green glass bottle with a serpent dragon design inspired by the Norse sagas, and runic writing echoing carvings still found on Orkney. The colour is a light golden, entirely natural from the cask, with no additives. The flavours are caramelised pear, nutmeg, vanilla, peat, cedar wood, oak and light smoke.
