Highland Park – Triskelion (70cl, 45.1%)

Highland Park Triskelion is a single malt at 45.1% in a 70cl bottle, created by three of the distillery's whisky makers, Gordon Motion, Max McFarlane and John Ramsay, who bring more than 100 years of experience between them. It was matured in a mix of first-fill sherry casks of Spanish and American oak, first-fill ex-bourbon casks and hogsheads, balanced with a small share of refill casks for a soft finish. The nose offers orange and honey, coriander seed, crème brûlée and light peat with a hint of rose. Orange peel, apricot, cumin, vanilla and gentle smoke follow on the palate, and the finish is lingering, sweet, citrusy and spicy.
