Highland Park – Triskelion

Highland Park Triskelion is a single malt blended by three of the distillery's former Whisky Makers, Gordon Motion, Max McFarlane and John Ramsay. Together they explored how wood and cask seasoning shape the whisky. They hand-selected three main cask types: first-fill sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts, first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks, and ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads. A small number of refill casks were added to bring a touch of softness. On the palate it is described as Seville oranges, sultanas and raisins, sweet apricots, heather honey, crushed coriander seeds and aromatic peat smoke.
