HNWS Secret Highland 21 Year Old 2000 is a single cask Highland single malt, selected for HNWS Taiwan. It was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2021 from Madeira cask number 1459, giving 288 bottles at a natural cask strength of 52.3% ABV, without added colouring or chill filtration.
The Madeira cask brings rich fruit and a delicate sweetness to the malt.
The nose offers golden raisins, fresh pastry and heather honey, with lime blossom, citrus peel, beeswax and a touch of roasted coffee. The palate is rich and textured, with dried grapes, candied citrus, honeyed cereal and custard, plus gentle oak spice and a slightly saline edge. The finish is long, with citrus zest, raisins, warm pastry and oak.
