Holyrood Embra Peated is a single malt from the Holyrood Distillery in Edinburgh, bottled at 43.6% ABV. It is the distillery's second single malt release and is made from a mix of chocolate malt and heavily peated malt. It was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, Islay quarter casks and new American oak.
The label takes its inspiration from linocut images of St Leonard, patron saint of coopers. Tasting notes mention lemon zest, dark chocolate mousse and light Highland peat smoke, with a clean finish of soft pear.
