Hyde No.5 The Aras Cask Burgundy Finish (70cl, 46%)

This is an Irish whiskey from Hyde, made at the Cooley distillery and triple distilled. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. It began its maturation in charred ex-bourbon barrels, then moved to toasted Burgundy red wine casks for the finish. The limited edition marks the birth year of Douglas Hyde, the first president of Ireland. The nose has red berries, fresh apple and soft vanilla. The palate brings blossom honey, vanilla, oak and strong dry fruit. The finish is medium in length, with red grapes and oak.
