Magilligan Pure Pot Still is an Irish whisky from the Cooley distillery in County Louth, bottled at 43% ABV. Despite the name, it is a single malt rather than a pot still whisky, and it was matured in bourbon casks.
The nose is light and nutty, with dried peach, mixed herbs, a hint of turf smoke, wood shavings and a note of wet pavement after rain. The palate is buttery and sweet with a crisp maltiness, and the finish turns peppery and spicy.
