Teeling Vintage Reserve 30 Year Old is a limited-edition Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It was distilled in 1991 at Cooley and released under the Teeling Whiskey Company label, without chill filtration, in batches of about 4,000 bottles.
The whiskey spent its first 21 years in bourbon casks, then a further nine in Sauternes wine casks.
Orchard fruit, roasted nuts and dark chocolate lead the nose, with peach candy and butterscotch. The palate is juicy, with ripe peach and apricot, then citrus, salted cashews, a wisp of smoke and wood spice. The finish is long and silky, with butterscotch and spicy oak.
