Hyde No.7 is an Irish single malt made from 100% malted Irish barley, triple-distilled in a copper still at a single distillery. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The whisky matures for at least six years entirely in toasted 250-litre Oloroso hogsheads from Cadiz, which give it a pronounced sherry character. Hyde is a bonded Irish whiskey company in County Cork that selects, matures and bottles the whiskey.
The nose combines peach, vanilla, soft barley malt, citrus, honey, caramel and chocolate. On the palate, caramel and manuka honey meet apricot and plum, with Brazil nut, almond and chilli chocolate. The finish is long, full and spicy, with wild honey, fig and a touch of pink pepper.
