Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries (70cl, 46.5%)

Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries is a Japanese pure malt, blended from barrels of Hanyu and Chichibu whisky. It comes from Ichiro Akuto, grandson of the founder of Hanyu, who established Chichibu in 2007. It is bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. The malt is matured in Japanese oak, which contributes part of its sweetness, and in ex-sherry and hogshead barrels, which give it firmness. The Hanyu malt in the blend has spent time in those sherry and hogshead casks.
