Inniskillin Niagara Estate Cabernet Franc Icewine VQA 2023 (37.5cl)

Inniskillin Cabernet Franc Icewine 2023 is a sweet wine from the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario. The frozen grapes were picked by hand at around -10°C, then pressed straight away, so the concentrated juice runs off while the ice stays in the press. It is a 375ml bottle. The colour comes from pressing alone, with no skin contact, giving a brilliant pink that carries the red fruit of Cabernet Franc without the tannins of a conventional red wine. Fermentation is cool and slow, and the wine matures in stainless steel. Jammy strawberries, raspberries and rhubarb lead the nose, with red raspberry and crushed strawberry on the palate, balanced by a subtle leafy note.
