Inniskillin Niagara Estate Riesling Icewine is a sweet Canadian dessert wine in a 375ml bottle, made entirely from Riesling grown in the Niagara Peninsula. The grapes freeze naturally on the vine and are picked at around -10°C, then pressed to give concentrated juice with lively acidity. The wine is unoaked.
The nose brings lemon and lime zest, tropical peach, apricot and honeycomb, with candied ginger, toasted walnut and pumpkin pie spice. The palate is full of apricot jam, pineapple, mango and lemon drops, together with candied orange peel and warm spice. Bright acidity runs against the sweetness and keeps it fresh.
