Islay Connection is a blended malt from North Star Spirits that marries single malts from two Islay distilleries, Bowmore and Bruichladdich. The whiskies were distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2026 at 10 years old, at 50.4% ABV.
Maturation took place in two kinds of cask, bourbon and refill sherry. The whisky is bottled without added colour and without chill-filtration.
Its character is described as balanced, with maritime notes, fine peat smoke, hints of citrus and a gentle malt sweetness.
