This is Isle of Fionia 15 Years Old Efterglød, an organic Danish single malt from Nyborg Destilleri on Funen. It is a limited edition, made from organic malted barley and bottled at 51.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The name Efterglød refers to the long, lingering aftertaste. The nose is described as dried apricots, raisins, vanilla, caramel, toasted nuts and warm spice. The palate is full, with dark caramel, honey, dried fruit, oak and orange peel. The finish is very long, with dark fruit, spice and gentle warmth.
