Isle of Raasay – Cask Strength Hebridean Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 61.3%)

This is the cask strength edition of Isle of Raasay's signature single malt, vatted and bottled at 61.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It follows the Na Sia recipe, Gaelic for 'The Six'. Peated and unpeated spirit are matured separately in three types of cask: Rye whiskey, virgin Chinkapin oak and Bordeaux red wine. The result is a lightly peated whisky with rich dark fruit, honey gold in colour with hints of red wine. The nose shows citrus, apricot, honey, fir peatiness and a little cinnamon and ginger. On the palate come black currant, butterscotch, ginger root, vanilla, salty peat smoke and milk chocolate.
