Dun Cana is a Hebridean single malt from Isle of Raasay, bottled at 52% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This is the second release of an annual series, and each edition differs slightly in cask make-up or age.
Peated and unpeated spirit was first matured in ex-rye American oak casks from Woodford Reserve, then given a second maturation in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks.
It is described as peppery and spicy, with dried sultanas and hints of vanilla. The finish carries lingering salty chocolate and a light touch of aromatic wood smoke.
