Isle of Raasay Hebridean Single Malt is the flagship whisky of the Raasay distillery, bottled at 46.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has no added colour and is non-chill filtered.
It is lightly peated. Peated and unpeated spirit are matured separately in first fill rye whiskey casks, fresh Chinkapin oak casks and first fill Bordeaux red wine casks, and the six are then married together.
Tasting notes describe ripe banana and sliced apple on the nose, with bonfire smoke and a maritime edge. The palate is honeyed and silky, with peaches, spice and blueberry compote, and the finish is chocolaty and spicy.
