A peated single malt from Isle of Raasay, distilled in 2021 and bottled in 2025 at four years old. It matured in an Oloroso sherry octave cask and was bottled at a strong 59.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is smoky and medicinal, with creosote, tar, embers and leather furniture, followed by a faint sweetness of demerara sugar and prune. The palate brings Oloroso sherry, roasted nuts and Lapsang Souchong tea alongside brine-cured olives, and is very spicy. The finish is dry, earthy and very long, with tobacco smoke, soot and black pepper.
