The Battalion is a 6 year old single grain Irish whiskey from J.J. Corry, in a 50cl bottle at 50% ABV. It was matured in bourbon casks and finished in Tequila casks.
The name honours the San Patricios, or St. Patrick's Battalion, a group of Irish men who fought for Mexico in the Mexican-American War of 1846 to 1848.
The agave spirit influence brings out honey and zesty citrus notes, balanced by spicy caramel from the bourbon ageing.
