J.J. Corry The Hanson Irish Grain Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

J.J. Corry The Hanson is a blended grain Irish whiskey, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was created in celebration of grain whiskey, with cocktails in mind, and blends grain whiskeys from several distilleries, aged four and ten years in ex-bourbon barrels. The name honours J.J. Corry's son-in-law, a revenue man in the early 1900s, known in Cooraclare as 'The Gauger Hanson'. The nose has vanilla fudge and toasted coconut, with griddled pineapple and lime. Green apples and rye grass open the palate, and the finish is bright, with lemongrass and hints of salinity and minerality.
