Jack Daniel's Bonded (1L, 50%)

This is Jack Daniel's Bonded, a Tennessee whiskey in a one-litre bottle. It opened the distillery's permanent Bonded Series in 2022, using casks chosen for a darker, stronger and more oak-led character. The mash is 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. As a bottled-in-bond whiskey it comes from a single distilling season and one distillery, spends at least four years in a government-supervised warehouse and is bottled at 100 proof, or 50% alcohol. It is filtered through sugar maple charcoal before maturing in charred oak. The nose offers caramel, strong oak and spice. The palate is full and robust, with dark brown sugar, cooked fruit and toasted oak. The finish lingers, with warm baking spices and a light touch of smoke.
