Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select (70cl, 45%)

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select is a Tennessee whiskey from a single barrel, not married with the contents of others. Only one barrel in a hundred is chosen for it, and those barrels rest in the upper parts of the warehouses, where wider temperature swings increase the exchange between whiskey and wood. It matures in new, charred American white oak and is bottled at 45% ABV with no added colouring. Like the distillery's other Tennessee whiskey, it passes through sugar maple charcoal before ageing. Tasting notes describe roasted oak, caramel, vanilla and fruit on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, with spice, toffee and cherries, and the long finish leaves citrus fruit and sweet grain.
