Jack Daniel's Tennessee Travelers Sweet & Oaky Straight Tennessee Whiskey (50cl, 53.5%)

This is a straight Tennessee whiskey in a 50cl bottle, part of the Tennessee Travelers series from the Jack Daniel Distillery. It is bottled at 53.5% ABV, which is the traditional 107 proof. The whiskey is matured in new charred American oak barrels, and the mash is 80% corn, 12% barley and 8% rye. The higher strength is meant to bring out flavour rather than heat. In the glass it is typically described as caramel, vanilla and toasted oak on the nose, with a mid palate that balances sweetness against oak.
