Jameson Black Barrel (70cl, 40%)

Jameson Black Barrel is a triple-distilled Irish blend of small batch grain whiskey and single pot still whiskey, with a higher share of pot still than in Jameson Original. It comes from the Midleton Distillery in County Cork and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The whiskeys are matured in bourbon, sherry and new oak casks, and some of the bourbon casks are double charred before the different parcels are married. The nose is buttery caramel, fudge and creamy toffee. On the palate pronounced nutty notes meet the gentle sweetness of spice and vanilla, and the rich, intense finish leaves toasted wood and vanilla.
