Jameson Crested (70cl, 40%)

Jameson Crested is a triple-distilled Irish blend of pot still and grain whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks at the Midleton Distillery. The edition marks 1963, when Jameson took over bottling its own whiskey, having previously sold it by the cask to merchants who bottled it themselves. It honours the first whiskeys Jameson bottled itself, and was formerly known as Crested Ten. The nose shows clear sherry notes and a pronounced pot still character. The palate brings together sherry, toasted wood, fruit, spice and chocolate. The finish is warm, with sherry lingering.
