Jameson Distiller's Batch Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (46%)

This is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Jameson, made at Midleton Distillery and bottled at 46% ABV. It is triple distilled and matured in five different types of oak cask, which gives it a notable oak presence alongside the smooth Jameson character. The nose is cinnamon and nutmeg with toasted oak, honeycomb and salted caramel, then citrus and ripe fruit, butterscotch and vanilla. On the palate, dark chocolate and spicy toffee lead into cinnamon, ginger and orange peel, with smoked wood and fine tannins. The finish is lingering fruit that gives way to warming spice and oak.
