Jameson Distiller's Batch is a triple-distilled single pot still Irish whiskey, made at Midleton in County Cork from malted and unmalted barley. It is bottled at 46%, without chill-filtration or added colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The maturation draws on three kinds of fresh oak, Irish, European and American, alongside ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose opens with cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oak, honeycomb and salted caramel, with lively fruit, butterscotch and vanilla behind. On the palate come dark chocolate, spiced toffee and cinnamon, with ginger, orange peel, fine tannins and a silky texture. The finish fades slowly, leaving spice and oak.
