Jameson The Cooper's Croze is a triple distilled Irish whiskey from the Jameson Whiskey Makers Series, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It blends single pot still and grain whiskeys.
Ger Buckley, Jameson's fifth generation Head Cooper, created it and named it after the croze, the tool that cuts the groove holding a cask head. Matured in virgin American oak, seasoned ex-bourbon barrels and Iberian Oloroso sherry butts, it is bottled non-chill filtered. It was first released in the United States in August 2016.
The nose has flower petal perfume, ripe fruit, charred oak and cedar, with buttery caramel, toffee, vanilla, peach, apricot and baked apple. The palate opens with sweet vanilla from the ex-bourbon barrels and rich fruit from the Oloroso.
